Requirements

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2–3 years of experience in a healthcare or dental setting, with responsibilities including accounting, patient billing, or general office financial operations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data analytics tools (Tableau or Power BI) is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal policies
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors during audits and tax filings
  • Utilize business intelligence tools to generate financial and operational reports
  • Develop and maintain dashboards that track performance and financial health
  • Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Support daily operations by providing financial guidance to internal teams
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, collaborating closely with leadership
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of patient financial data within practice systems
  • Stay current on accounting best practices, tax regulations, and healthcare financial standards
  • Help implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows and reduce inefficiencies
