About The Position

Bird Electric, a Black & Veatch company, is a U.S. self-perform electrical construction services provider with a national reach in emergency power restoration. The company also has long-established relationships with fuel producers and energy providers.

This position serves as key resource for Accounting Operations team regarding Accounts Payable (AP) and/or Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, systems, and responsibilities. This position works closely with Accounting Operations team, suppliers, project accountants and other key resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years’ related experience.
• Knowledge and experience with Foundation and Excel.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process AP general, fleet, sub-contract and consolidated supplier invoices
• Process and review material invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding
• Upload invoices into Foundation
• Record project details on invoice lines
• Answer invoicing questions from project teams, procurement, and suppliers
• Complete urgent invoice processing requests from project and procurement teams
• May Process ACH, Batch Wire, Wire Swift, check payments
• May complete reconciliation processes as necessary for invoice payment processes
• May gather and analyze past due balances from vendor statements
• Records invoices to the proper project and general ledger
