As the Campus Assistance Unit Lead, provide technical expertise and direction as the team provides support to Minnesota State institutions in the use of Minnesota State and State of Minnesota financial systems, business processes, internal controls and financial management. Develop and coordinate long range planning and fiscal strategy of Minnesota State’s use of State of Minnesota accounting (SWIFT) systems. Provide support to Minnesota State institutions in the use of Minnesota State financial systems, business processes, internal control and financial management problems, so that finances are managed effectively, financial data is accurate and timely and so that they adhere to applicable laws and policies. Serve as a resource for assigned complex Minnesota financial system modules (e.g. Accounts Receivable, Equipment/Fixed Assets, Cost Allocation, Payroll/SCUPPS). Develop business procedures, documentation, and deliver staff training in areas of Minnesota State financial systems, accounting structure, and reporting procedures so that institutional operations are compliant with system-wide policies and procedures and that all applicable requirements are met. Provide ad hoc assistance to institutions by responding to calls and e-mails requesting assistance with the use of the financial systems, appropriate coding of financial activity, reconciliation problems and a variety of other finance related issues.
