As Night Auditor, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day administrative functions that keep the park running smoothly. Job Summary: This role supports the location accounting department by compiling and summarizing the location's daily sales. This position generally works in the middle of the night, without direct supervision at the location. Why Yellowstone National Park? The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: Mid April 2026 to Mid October 2026 Pay: $18.50/hourly Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)
Requirements
- Accounting degree and/or related work experience
- Strong communication and people skills
- Motivational, organizational, and time management skills
- Knowledge of general office procedures
- Office machine skills, especially PC experience
- Knowledge of the following PC software: MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS Outlook®
- Sitting at a desk for extended periods of time
- Extensive walking, lifting, and transporting of supplies and equipment at times
- Loading company vehicles, moving supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds to and from work stations on location (up to 100 yards)
Responsibilities
- Audit and correct sales reports and support documentation from location departments
- Process and post financial transactions using the computer reservation system
- Complete Excel spreadsheets and other reports as assigned by the Location Controller
- Ensure compliance with Xanterra accounting policies and procedures across all departments
- Maintain accounting office security and confidentiality during night shift
- Provide accurate and timely daily sales summaries to GAO and location departments
- Handle emergency situations and work independently during night shift
- Maintain professional attitude and appearance, performing additional duties as assigned
