About The Position

Administers all accounting activities, such as financial statements, budgets, accounts payable/receivables, payroll as well as related taxes and the associated controls of recording and maintaining of financial data.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting or Finance.
  • Requires two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be accurate with assignments and able to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to handle busy and stressful situations.
  • Must be flexible with work shifts and days off.
  • Must have the ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to meet all internal supervisory or higher, training and education requirements.
  • Must have well-developed financial analysis and management skills.
  • Requires strong computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or MBA with Gaming operation experience desired.
  • Knowledge of Title 31 requirements and the Federal Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) desired.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in formulating and maintaining financial policy procedures and controls.
  • Administers all accounting activities within the procedures and policies of the organization.
  • Reviews all accounts payable and payroll transactions for support and propriety.
  • Reviews month end results of revenue audits for accuracy.
  • Reconciles all CashTrac accounts.
  • Insures compliance with the applicable standards set out by federal, state, and local entities.
  • Responsible for ensuring deadlines are met within the Accounting Department
  • Assists with the preparation of operational and capital budgets.
  • Reconciles Credit Card, Gift Card, Echeck, Cash Advance, ATM and Wallet transactions and disputes.
  • Works closely with internal and external auditors.
  • Communicates and networks effectively with staff, other departments, and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation.
  • Safeguards and accounts for the assets of the owners.
  • Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
  • Monitors the casino environment and follows established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
  • Works respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction and co-worker respect.
  • Reports to work on time and as required in professional attire, display a high level of personal cleanliness and follows personal appearance standards.
  • Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
  • Conducts personnel hiring, reviews and training.
  • Interacts with external and internal auditors.
  • Attends all required meetings and training sessions.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
