About The Position

We are seeking an Accounting Manager for a premier consulting firm for corporate clients across the U.S. Our client offers growth opportunities and generous benefits including 3 weeks paid vacation, 8 paid holidays & the week between 12/25-1/1 off with pay, 401(k) with up to 4% match, and a competitive medical/dental/vision/life insurance package for employees and family. The Accounting Manager will oversee the general ledger, employee expenses, reconciliations, and month-end closing. Salary: $95,000-$110,000 per year plus bonus depending on experience. The qualified candidate will have expertise in GL accounting, 1099s, reconciliations, and supervisory or leadership experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (required).
• 4–6 years’ accounting, preferably in a Senior Accountant or similar role.
• Leadership or supervisor experience required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on and technical expertise with accounting software systems required, Sage is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables); familiarity with other accounting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting functions to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Serve as a strategic partner to the Controller.
• Oversee accounts payable (AP), including invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and procurement, to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate posting of all journal entries.
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including cash and investments, to maintain accurate financial records.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition, expense recording, and accruals in compliance with company policies.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
