Gateway Fiber is seeking an outstanding individual to fill the role of Accounting Manager. Gateway is creating a leading, national fiber-to-the-home platform. With the support of its financial sponsor CBRE Investment Management, Gateway plans to reach 500,000 homes and businesses with its service over the next several years. Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong proficiency with NetSuite, including reporting and workflow management.
  • High‑level proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial schedules).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial statement preparation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to operate confidently in a high‑growth, rapidly changing environment.

  • CPA is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, cash receipts, payroll, and monthly close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP compliance.
  • Lead the month‑end close, including preparation/review of journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, and financial accuracy checks.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, ensuring strong accounting integrity and audit readiness during rapid company growth.
  • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring alignment with leadership and external reporting requirements.
  • Manage cash flow oversight, including daily liquidity monitoring, cash postings, forecasting insights, and working capital optimization.
  • Oversee tax‑related processes, including sales and use tax filings and collaboration with external tax advisors.
  • Prepare for and support external audits and lender reporting, ensuring availability of proper documentation and transparent communication.
  • Ensure compliance with construction accounting workflows, including CIP, fixed asset management, and grant reimbursement tracking—critical in Gateway Fiber’s infrastructure expansion.
  • Identify and execute process improvements, system enhancements, and standardization initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability.
