Role and Responsibilities Supervise a group of 2 or more individuals within the Financial Asset Management group, establishing direction and driving team to meet goals. Proficiency with all roles and responsibilities required of a Senior Associate Managerial responsibilities over three or more clients Note that client demands can vary significantly, and the workload will be balanced amongst managers as needed. The “three or more” expectation won’t supersede pragmatism when assigning responsibilities. However, all things held equal, managers can expect to have more client demands than those in the supervisorial rank. Review of tasks completed by Senior Associates and Associates, using an analytical perspective to identify errors and/or other areas requiring correction and/or optimization Manage workstreams over both short and long-term timelines and provide direction to direct reports on the prioritization of tasks to achieve those timelines Perform research into technical GAAP questions and identify appropriate treatment Serve as the primary client contact for deliverables, questions, and other communications as needed Provide mentorship for Senior Associates. Managers will provide recurring feedback to Senior Associates to promote development and/or resolve performance issues, if relevant. Oversee all team activities: preparation of opening balances, ensuring all entries are posted, providing explanations for variances, completing reconciliations, managing bank accounts and AP/AR, managing budgeting processes, preparing draw requests, & generating consolidated monthly & quarterly financial statements for multiple investors in accordance with GAAP (balance sheet, income statement, members’ equity, and cash flow statements). Manage support of external audits & tax preparation and ensure GAAP compliance across all entities. Ensure compliance with financing documents, including debt service payments and equity distributions. Ensure all intercompany accounts are reconciled and resolve any variances prior to close. Oversee the maintenance of HLBV (Hypothetical Liquidated Book Value) calculations and tracking models used in GAAP accounting for investments in tax equity partnerships; ensure validation of partnership contributions and distributions Develop, resource and manage schedules for long term projects, making scope and delivery tradeoffs as necessary. Review work products and progress to ensure success. Facilitate meetings with external stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Resolve issues within and across teams. Develop compensation planning, career coaching, training, and administer company policies for the team. Drive team improvement initiatives, and propose updates to division policies.
