The Opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Accounting Manager to lead our day-to-day financial operations. At Sonatus, this role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping. You will bridge the gap between historical reporting and forward-looking strategy, ensuring our financial foundation is rock-solid while providing the insights needed to scale our business globally. You will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role within the software or tech industry.
  • Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
  • Tech Stack: Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred). Mastery of Excel for modeling; experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • Mindset: A strategic thinker who looks beyond the ledger to identify trends and risks. You are comfortable navigating the ambiguity of a fast-scaling environment.
  • Communication: The ability to translate complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives for Engineering, Sales, and Product stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Big 4 experience is a major plus.
  • Mastery of Excel for modeling; experience with Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Oversight: Manage the full cycle of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely, GAAP-compliant reporting.
  • FP&A & Strategic Planning: Partner with leadership on annual budgeting and monthly forecasting; build complex financial models to project growth and cash flow.
  • Business Intelligence: Perform variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights to department heads.
  • Technical Accounting: Research and document complex accounting treatments, drafting memos and working with consultants to ensure compliance with evolving standards.
  • Audit & Compliance: Serve as the primary point of contact for our external auditors (PwC) and tax advisors (KPMG).
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a lean accounting team, fostering a culture of professional development and high accuracy.
