About The Position

This Accounting Manager position is responsible for accounting activities related to Month-end Close and financial reporting, account analysis and documentation for BrightSpring Health Services Home Health and Hospice division operations with special emphasis on Joint Venture operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting required
5-8 years in accounting, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role required
Knowledge of general accounting and US GAAP required
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word and related accounting software required
Outstanding financial reporting and analytical skills required
Knowledge of internal and external audit requirements required
Ability to utilize new tools and technologies in a rapidly changing environment required

Nice To Haves

CPA preferred
Knowledge of Oracle preferred
Knowledge of healthcare accounting preferred

Responsibilities

Manages accounting and month end close procedures for group of joint venture home health operations
Manages monthly entries for non-controlling entries in consolidation
Reconciles management fees and intercompany expenses
Provides ad hoc reporting for partners
Assists with quarterly, and annual audit requirements
Reviews and approves reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow-up on any unusual items
Prepares and reviews business line specific accruals and journal entries
Oversees maintenance of systems and controls that verify the integrity of systems, processes, and data
Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes, ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization
Maintains relationships with internal and external auditors
Ensures that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records monthly
Communicates key information to management
Supervises accounting staff and directs work of others
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
