About The Position

Direct Hire Accounting Manager To work for a Interior Design Group which is a 40+ year old national interior design firm located in Naples, Florida. Our client specializes in multifamily, hospitality, creative branding, and design forecasting. They work with 9 of the top 10 largest developers in the United States, and their portfolio spans 39 states and over 60 cities. Position Summary: Reporting to the Managing Director, the Accounting Manager combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate has experience collaborating and/or managing a team, must be reliable, detail oriented and with strong Excel skills.

Requirements

  • Five (5) to Eight (8) years of professional experience as Accounting Manager.
  • Experience managing budgets required.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory, fix assets and commissions design and calculations.
  • Experience supervising
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting team ensuring that all accounting activities are carried out in line with deadlines.
  • Establish and maintain system controls which verify the integrity of all accounting and data processing systems.
  • Analyze the financial details of past, present, and forecasted operations to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for the Cash Management of the business.
  • Responsible for the month and annual end closing
  • Manage and maintain accounts receivable/payable records, and provide oversight and assistance with invoice preparation, invoice distribution in accordance with best practices as determined by the needs and variations of the projects.
  • Complete and maintain all tax, financial compliance, and regulatory reporting functions.
  • Manage monthly supplier and subcontractor payments ensuring that the supplier chain is paid timely.
  • Complete the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Analyze cost controls to ensure project profitability and delivery.
  • Collect, analyze data and develop models & approaches to solve problems.
  • Collaborate and assist in the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with organizational personnel for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Communicate and track financial trends and make sound business recommendations.
  • Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
  • Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.
  • Ensure that generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Internal Controls are maintained with changing Business environment.
  • Strong organizational skills including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multi-tasking.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • A proven record of excellence when managing, mentoring, and improving a team of high performing colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory, fix assets and commissions design and calculations.
  • Valid U.S. work authorization.
