About The Position

In this role, you will lead and manage the full-cycle accounting activities, ensuring financial processes adhere to public-company standards in preparation for a future IPO. Your expertise will help bridge the gap from an R&D-focused environment to scalable, compliant financial operations, partnering closely with various teams. This is a hands-on position where your leadership skills will be crucial in enhancing the finance team's efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA strongly preferred.
• 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in aerospace or complex R&D environments.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with public company reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP, Concur, or QuickBooks is a plus.
• Strong leadership abilities, capable of mentoring and developing a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger, month-end close, and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial statement preparation in accordance with US GAAP.
• Evaluate and interpret complex financial transactions for compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions.
• Drive process improvements within the finance department and act as system administrator for finance software.
