About The Position

Are you Concraft is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong commitment to accuracy. If you excel at overseeing accounting operations, managing financial reporting, and ensuring accuracy and compliance, you may be the perfect fit for our Accounting Manager role. Our ideal candidate has 2-5+ years of accounting experience supporting construction or restoration projects, with some supervisory experience. They should be comfortable managing job costing, WIP reporting, subcontractor billing, and project-based financial tracking while maintaining accurate records and compliant internal controls.

Requirements

2-5+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally within the construction, restoration, or other project-driven industries.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Strong understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, subcontractor billing, and project-based accounting processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
Experience with accounting software (Sage 100 Contractor preferred); familiarity with industry tools such as DASH, Xactimate, or Encircle is a plus.
Highly organized and detail-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, job costing, and general ledger management.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closings with accurate financial statements.
Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and best practices.
Manage cash flow, banking activities, and reconciliation processes.
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
Partner with Project Managers to ensure accurate job costing, billing, and documentation.
Continuously evaluate processes and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
