About The Position

As our Accounting Manager, you will help strengthen the financial foundation that supports exceptional care and meaningful experiences for the residents we serve in our senior living community. In this role you will lead daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and partner with leadership to maintain a stable, mission driven organization. Earn a competitive salary within the range of $90-110k annually, based on experience. This is a hybrid role (weekly onsite work). Position Summary: The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting strategic decision making. This role leads the day-to-day accounting function, manages the month end close process, and serves as a key partner to leadership on financial matters. This position reports to the Director of Accounting and Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required) plus 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Prior experience supervising or leading accounting staff
  • Experience with month end close, audits, and financial reporting
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel (advanced formulas, pivots)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non financial stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CPA eligible
  • Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, senior living, real estate, or multi-entity environments
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage month end, quarter end, and year end close processes, including review of journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Supervise and support accounting staff, ensuring accurate work, timely deliverables, and ongoing development.
  • Maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance requirements; coordinate with external auditors.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting, monitor financial performance, and provide guidance to operational leaders.
  • Oversee cash management, balance sheet accuracy, fixed asset accounting, and improvements to accounting systems and processes.
