Perricone Farms is seeking a Account Manager for our Vero Beach, FL facility. Position Summary: The Accounting Manager will lead core accounting operations in all aspects of the company’s financial management, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and financial compliance matters. This role will work closely with the Regional Controller, Corporate Controller, Finance team and accounting staff as well as other departments to ensure that accounting procedures are followed and financial goals are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented manufacturing and/or multi-entity environment. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical accounting expertise and operational mindset, with direct exposure to plant operations, senior leadership, and corporate finance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation is highly preferred.
  • Experience in the food & beverage industry, particularly in a growing, fast-paced environment, along with Big 4 or regional accounting firms is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced financial modeling is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP).
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports and performance analysis to senior leadership, providing actionable insights.
  • Support the annual audit process and liaise with external CPA auditors
  • Support the tax filing and the various requests from the CPA tax team.
  • General Ledger & Month-End Close: Drive a disciplined month-end (target: 5 days) and year-end close process, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial records are up to date and correct.
  • Lead the balance sheet reconciliation process and fixed asset/ CAPEX accounting.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Provide oversight with the Regional Controller to guide the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to ensure all payments and collections are processed efficiently.
  • Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and internal control procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Participate and take active role in the annual physical inventory process.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on tasks and professional development.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative team culture within the finance department.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy, including automation, system enhancements (NetSuite), and month end close acceleration
  • Stay current with industry trends and accounting best practices to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.
