About The Position

We’re hiring an Accounting Manager to oversee project-based accounting operations for residential construction projects. This role combines full-cycle accounting, job cost tracking, cash flow management, and financial reporting to ensure accurate financial controls and support strategic business decisions.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience (construction or project-based industry preferred)
  • Experience with QuickBooks, JobTread (or similar construction software), and Google Sheets
  • Strong understanding of job cost accounting, draw cycles, and cash flow management
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Familiarity with construction tax considerations (sales/use tax, 1099s) preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with Project Managers, vendors, and leadership

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Process and code vendor invoices by project, budget category, and cost code
  • Coordinate invoice approvals with Project Managers and ownership
  • Prepare and issue vendor payments (ACH/check) and manage collections
  • Track job costs, budgets, and variances across multiple construction projects
  • Prepare draw requests, reconcile project billing, and track lender/client disbursements
  • Maintain cash flow forecasts at both project and company levels
  • Produce monthly financial statements, project P&Ls, and management reports
  • Support year-end close and tax preparation with organized financial records
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls and construction accounting standards
