About The Position

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department and ensuring timely and accurate monthly financial reporting. This role also plays a key part in maintaining a strong internal control environment with clearly documented processes and procedures. The company operates on a hybrid model, 3 days in the office

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities
  • Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong analytical mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly financial reporting packages, offering clear, actionable insights for leadership decision-making
  • Perform in-depth financial statement analysis and respond to ad hoc reporting needs
  • Partner with department leaders to develop reporting on client profitability and uncover cost optimization opportunities
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to drive greater efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across accounting functions
  • Oversee core accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance
  • Approve weekly disbursements and maintain current cash flow forecasts to support financial planning
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting financial schedules
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with GAAP standards
  • Develop detailed financial reports and variance analyses, highlighting trends, root causes, and actionable recommendations
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic business decisions
  • Participate in monthly financial reviews with department leaders, offering insights and guidance
  • Evaluate and refine accounting procedures, maintaining strong internal controls and proper documentation
  • Mentor and develop accounting team members through performance management, goal setting, and professional development
  • Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring timely and complete preparation of all required documentation
