About The Position

Blue Ocean Inc is a leading third-party service provider based in North America that combines fulfillment center, warehousing, technical support, and logistics along with after-sales support. We are a one-stop forward and reverse logistics service company that focuses on third-party online retailers. Customers have access to a turn-key system, a streamlined operation process, and a professional team to solve their problems with Life-Cycle Logistics. After more than 10 years of rapid development, Blue Ocean Inc has established mature and stable automated cargo distribution and return procedures. Currently, we have distribution centers in OR, CA, DE, NH, TN, PA, and FL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong understanding of AR, AP, and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and/or internal audit processes preferred.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Accounts Receivable (AR) function, including invoicing, collections, credit management, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely vendor payments.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Conduct internal reviews of accounting practices, strengthen internal controls, and support audit requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee periodic physical inventory counts, reconcile variances, and ensure proper inventory accounting.
  • Prepare financial and management reports, including cash flow analysis, AR aging, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with operations and other departments to improve processes and provide financial insights to support business decisions.
  • Maintain organized accounting documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth, efficiency, and accuracy within the team.
