Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and SAP.
  • Strong ability to track and measure financial data and effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends during the month-end close as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Accounts Receivable experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the staff of the accounts receivable department, ensuring all billing, invoicing and payment processing activities are conducted accurately and on time.
  • Manage the invoicing process, negotiate payment plans with customers, and ensure timely collection of debts owed to the company.
  • Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments and customer balances, and provide financial information to other departments and management.
  • Train, guide, and support accounts receivable specialists, ensuring they perform their duties efficiently.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as sales and operations, to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Assist in period-end close, ensure accurate general ledger representation, and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls across AZ operations.
  • Interact with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Manage office team of 2-3 associates, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain office hours of 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (with flexibility to cover staff as needed).
