About The Position

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for general accounting activities, including maintenance of accounting systems, and upholding standards and supporting delivery of key financial management reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least 5 years’ experience managing degreed accountants.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills with a thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
• Proactive Take-charge personality, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail with a Business First focus.
• Expert Level of proficiency with Excel.
• Proficient with Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Fully support Controller.
• Preparation of Financial Statements and provide meaningful analysis for sales and operations management.
• Manage general ledger coding and mapping.
• Oversee and manage Treasury Management including Payment Approvals, Banking and Credit Card systems.
• Support Tax department, and coordinate to ensure accounting policy aligns with tax goals.
• Manage annual Avflight Budget process.
• Audit internal accounts to ensure compliance with internal standards
• Manage external financial audits including annual domestic and international as well as local Payroll or Tax, City or State audits.
• Support Tax Department supplying financial data for domestic Tax Returns and Canadian Corporate Tax preparation
