The Accounting Manager oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective internal controls. This role managers a team of accounting professionals and collaborates closely with leadership to support organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting
  • 7+ years of accounting experience (including 3+ years in a supervisory role)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting practices
  • Proficiency with accounting tools/software
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accounting procedures and controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure all financial records comply with GAAP and company policies.
  • Oversee accounting for subsidiaries.
  • Supervise, develop, and mentor accounting staff.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all journal entries.
  • Review and approve account reconciliations.
  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement activity.
  • Work with multiple companys company consolidation.
  • Work with external auditors.
  • Participate in special projects including software upgrades.
  • Other duties as assigned.
