The Accounting Manager oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective internal controls. This role managers a team of accounting professionals and collaborates closely with leadership to support organizational goals.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in accounting
7+ years of accounting experience (including 3+ years in a supervisory role)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting practices
Proficiency with accounting tools/software
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain accounting procedures and controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
Ensure all financial records comply with GAAP and company policies.
Oversee accounting for subsidiaries.
Supervise, develop, and mentor accounting staff.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all journal entries.
Review and approve account reconciliations.
Analyze balance sheet and income statement activity.
Work with multiple companys company consolidation.
Work with external auditors.
Participate in special projects including software upgrades.
Other duties as assigned.
