This position manages critical corporate accounting functions to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. The role oversees month-end close activities, maintains accounting controls and audit readiness, serves as the subject matter expert for Accounts Receivable, the Purchasing Card (P-Card) program, and Fixed Assets, and supports system enhancements, process improvements, and compliance with company policy, accounting standards, and applicable regulations. Post assigned corporate accounting functions to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. Oversee and coordinate month-end and year-end close activities related to assigned areas, including review and resolution of complex accounting issues. Ensure proper accounting treatment, reconciliations, controls, and review processes are maintained for assigned functions in accordance with company policy, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations. Ensure completion and review of assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with company policy and internal control requirements. Assist with audit support, internal reviews, and responses to information requests as related to assigned functions. Serve as the primary subject matter expert for assigned accounting areas, including Accounts Receivable, the Purchasing Card (P-Card) program, and Fixed Assets, providing technical guidance and resolving escalated issues. Support MTC facilities, subsidiaries, and associated finance personnel by providing technical accounting guidance, issue resolution, and consistent application of corporate accounting standards. Support financial system functionality, enhancements, and implementations, including testing, documentation, and process alignment. Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and reduce risk. Support the management of corporate accounting policies and procedures, including reviews and updates. Maintain accountability for assigned processes and adhere to company safety practices.
