About The Position

We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager at our corporate office in Wausau, Wisconsin. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Accounting Manager plays a critical leadership role, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and collaborating across the organization to align financial strategies with organizational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 7+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership, team building and project management skills
• Proficiency in accounting software: Microsoft Business Central, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Timely preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements
• Ensure accurate and timely recording, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions in compliance with applicable accounting guidelines
• Supervise and develop the existing accounting staff which includes hands-on involvement in the General Ledger, Cash, Accounts Receivable, Prepaids, Inventory, Expenses and Accruals, Taxes, Reserves etc. including performance reviews
• Develop and implement accounting procedures, and internal control activities to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with external audits
• Monitor daily bank transactions and monthly reconciliation
• Support team members across the organization with various accounting questions and tasks
• Ad hoc finance and accounting related activities as requested
