We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our growing accounting team. The Accounting Manager will lead a team and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, adherence to internal controls, and efficient management of the month-end close process. This role will play a critical part in supporting Strata's growth by driving process improvements, managing audit requirements, and preparing key financial data.

  • Build, develop, and grow a team of accounting professionals.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and set performance goals to foster professional growth and ensure team accountability.
  • Ensure tight close deadlines are consistently met while maintaining the completeness, existence, and accuracy of key account areas.
  • Review account reconciliations and approve journal entries (JEs) for various accounts including Cash, Prepaid Expenses, Fixed Assets, Intangible Assets, Accounts Payable (AP) and Accruals, and Intercompany Accounts.
  • Perform analytical reviews of financial results during the month-end close, identifying and explaining fluctuations to support informed decision-making.
  • Compile and prepare supplemental data for the year-end 10-K filing.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures, including the review and approval of vendor setup and changes to the vendor master file.
  • Manage and respond to internal and external audit requests, ensuring all documentation and explanations are provided in a timely and organized manner.
  • Lead the implementation of an AP automation workflow approval system to streamline the invoice-to-pay process.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • CPA highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Proven track record of managing month-end close processes and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and analytical reviews.
  • Familiarity with internal controls and audit processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite or similar ERP systems) and AP automation tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in a SaaS or technology company preferred.
