About The Position

The basic function of the Accounting Manager is to ensure all office administration items are handled appropriately and to function as the accounting representative. This position will handle all departmental needs relating to production, service, sales, or general accounting and assist all departments as necessary with reports, administrative paperwork, and project related documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Must have experience with job costing and percent completion accounting.
• Must have experience with month end closing procedures.
• Must have experience with a project cost/accounting ERP system.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in document management software and project management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for tax compliance with all federal, state, local, payroll and other applicable taxes.
• Manage Fixed Assets to track additions and disposals.
• Maintain and manage all operating leases.
• Assist Regional and Corporate offices with internal and/or IRS procedures and accounting audits.
• Prepares bi-monthly forecast.
• Support the implementation and compliance of the Tecta Financial Policies.
• Backup support for Payroll, AP and AR.
• Record all General Ledger Adjustments on monthly basis (depreciation, prepaid, etc.).
• Record all Insurance Entries.
• Record Rebate Transactions.
• Record Intercompany Transactions.
• Record Necessary Bad Debt Reserve.
• Review Indirect and SGA Accounts for Unusual/Excessive Activity.
• Attend monthly CTC (cost to complete) meetings and record any project adjustments.
• Record all project related accruals.
• Record Over/Under Billed and Over/Under Absorbed.
• Run CPR (contract profit reports more commonly known as work in progress) and Balance to the GL and reconcile with regional controller.
• Performs Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations.
