Join our team, drive the change, and make a difference! The Division of Finance (DOF) performs management and oversight of the annual budget and spending for VDSS. It provides guidance for the departments' financial policies and ensures fiscal compliance with state and federal regulations. The Division of Finance is also responsible for processing financial transactions for VDSS and reporting the results of those transactions to local agencies, field offices, state and federal entities. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to serve as one of the Accounting Managers for the Division of Finance, reporting to the General Accounting Manager Senior. The position oversees Small Purchase Charge Card (SPCC) system; performs reconciliations, managerial analysis, and interpretation of financial functions pertaining to SPCC; and supervises and evaluates internal processes related to Commonwealth of Virginia Bank of America Travel Card and Airline Travel Card. Audits and reviews general accounting payments to include travel voucher processing and year-end 1099 reporting. Supervises accounts payable process, investigates discrepancies, and performs transaction audits and updates. This position is also accountable for ensuring that agency employees are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to disbursement processing, i.e. Commonwealth of Virginia's Prompt Payment Act, Uniform Guidance 2CFR Part 200.
