About The Position

You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end-to-end. You will manage the month end close process, and review, analyze, and interpret financial data. Every day is a new challenge, and you are continually looking for ways to help our department become more efficient and effective. A team player at heart, you collaborate across all functions, advocate best practices and pitch in where needed. You move fast while keeping your attention to detail, and you utilize your problem-solving and critical thinking skills to support business objectives. The Accounting team is responsible for all general accounting tasks, including expense accruals, analysis, consolidation, and financial statement preparation. This also includes technical accounting research and application, internal controls, and process automation/optimization.

Requirements

  • At least 6-8 years of progressive experience as an accounting professional, including at least 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Large ERP system experience (i.e., Workday, SAP, Oracle).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Able to work in a dynamic, fluid, fast-paced environment.
  • Able to effectively manage a remote team.

  • Workday (ERP system) experience.
  • Healthcare industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and mentor a team of 3 senior accountants.
  • On a monthly basis, close the books in accordance with GAAP in 8 business days.
  • Manage the accounting for all salary and benefit expense transactions recorded in the financials.
  • Automate and streamline manual and inefficient processes.
  • Maintain Workday GL system in tandem with peer accounting managers and IT.
  • Assist with integration of acquired practices into existing accounting processes.
