About The Position
Baker Tilly is seeking a Manager for its Client Accounting Services, specifically within the Oil and Gas team. This role is pivotal in providing accounting and financial management services to clients in the upstream oil and gas sector. The Manager will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial records, which includes preparing financial statements and tracking key performance indicators for clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, focusing on exceptional client service and continuous process improvements through technology interventions. As a Manager, you will oversee all phases of planning and administering large and complex outsourced accounting engagements. This requires extensive knowledge of upstream oil and gas accounting specialties, including General Ledger management, accounts payable, and revenue recognition. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, ensuring high-level client service delivery and adherence to established processes and controls. Your role will also involve managing client engagement preparation activities, leading month-end close activities, and developing procedures for major functional areas. In addition to client service, the Manager will engage in business development activities to support the growth of the practice. This includes building relationships with clients and prospects, enhancing service offerings, and mentoring staff.
