About The Position

Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager (Multi Entity) to add to their team near Lansing, MI. In this role, you will own day-to-day accounting across multiple standalone entities (no complex consolidations), keeping the books current and organized, including month-end close, reconciliations, general ledger activity, and ownership reporting while overseeing a small AR/AP support team. Our client is looking for someone with at least five years of full-cycle accounting experience in a hands-on, multi-entity environment. To be successful in the role, you must be self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with different stakeholders across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll both execute the accounting work and oversee a small team – ideal for someone who enjoys staying close to the work while leading others. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience required
• Multi-entity accounting experience required
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel required

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records across multiple entities
• Own month-end close and account reconciliations
• Record journal entries and manage general ledger activity
• Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership
• Support year-end close and audit-ready documentation
• Track routine accounting, sales tax and compliance activities
• Manage a 3-person support team handling accounts receivable and payable
• Ensure accuracy and consistency across entity-level financials
