At STACK, the e Accounting Manager is an essential part of the Finance and Accounting Department. You will be responsible for the monthly production and maintenance of all corporate general ledger accounting, lead and manage the monthly close process, assist with financial statement preparation and analysis, technical accounting, process improvement, external audit coordination, and be the right-hand person to the Accounting Director. To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communications skills, strong attention to detail, be exceptionally organized, self-motivated, and a master problem-solver. You should be able to thrive in a fast-paced multitasking environment and easily adapt to change and rapid company growth. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting and customer service (external and internal).

  • Complete the month-end close process and preparation of journal entries for corporate entity as well as review/complete reconciliations for all balance sheet account
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for corporate entity with actual to budget commentary
  • Evaluate and record transactions to the general ledger timely and accurately
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, including Finance and Treasury teams and external shareholders including private equity sponsor
  • Analyze and interpret complex accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare equity account reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed for all funds with the related investors
  • Manage intercompany account process and work to research discrepancies as needed
  • Provide support and prepare documentation for the external audit
  • Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects to move the business forward
  • BS in Accounting required
  • 5+ years prior work experience
  • CPA and industry/operational accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Multi-entity and international experience preferred
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially Excel
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communications skills
  • Enjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teams
  • Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision
  • Proven success in creating efficiencies in processes and procedures
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
