About The Position

The Accounting Manager at Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the property, ensuring compliance with internal audit standards, and managing the accurate recording of financial transactions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of one year of industry experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to create and improve templates and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate recording of assets, liabilities, income, and expenses.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget and forecasts, analyzing financial and operational data to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes to optimize cash flow.
  • Develop and maintain efficient processes and systems using advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Train and mentor team members, creating job aids and documentation to support seamless operations.
  • Foster a cooperative work environment by collaborating with other departments to ensure alignment on processes.
  • Promote employee empowerment and maintain a safe and organized workplace.
