About The Position
One of our newest factories, located along the Virginia border, breathes new life into a former brewery, creating an innovative and technologically advanced pet food manufacturing facility. We have transformed the existing structure in Rockingham County to produce leading dry dog and cat food brands, including Purina Pro Plan®, Purina ONE®, and Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets®. As Accounting Lead (Financial Accounting Manager), you’ll maintain the integrity of the factory financial structure and drive accuracy in the forecasting, reporting, and analysis of operating costs. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Nestlé accounting standards, and company policies and standards. Bring your accounting expertise to a safety-minded, collaborative team as you manage factory budgets and costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in general accounting, cost accounting, operations control, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage budgets and costs for the facility.
- Complete required factory accounting activities including performing monthly general ledger closing activities in SAP.
- Develop, research, communicate, and implement new or updated procedures as dictated by business needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with department leaders and the corporate finance team.
- Work with team leaders and hourly associates on the factory floor conducting leadership activities to support fixed asset inventories.
- Manage and develop a team to achieve factory and department goals.
