Requirements

• 4+ years of related work experience in addition to a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills
• Work independently while being able to multitask and prioritize competing priorities
• Research and evaluate financial data independently
• An excellent written and verbal communicator who can connect effectively with all levels within the organization

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and support schedules to be provided to internal management and partners
• Assemble, review, and approve monthly journal entries including joint venture billings
• Conduct research and analysis for ad hoc questions or requests from partners
• Partner with other groups inside the company including Business Development, Treasury and Reporting
• Arrange and coordinate cash calls and cash distributions with partners
• Compile and review account reconciliations and monthly budget to actual variance analysis
• Put together and analyze large volume of data from ERP system to facilitate monthly cost allocation process
• Prepare and review Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Form 2 and Form 3-Q in addition to the annual Texas Commission (RRC) filings
• Develop FERC/RRC rate case related schedules and supporting documentation
• Coordinate and interact with internal and external auditors on quarterly and year-end audits
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and related reporting requirements
• Provide guidance to analysts as needed and complete special projects as required
