Job Summary: As an Accounting intern at LG Energy Solution, you will provide essential accounting support by using professional judgement directly affecting the accuracy of the organization’s financial and operating performance. This position will be responsible for work that includes:

Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or higher
Requires a working knowledge of GAAP
Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to be flexible and adapt to new task and projects
Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining high degree of confidentiality

Responsibilities

Assist accounts payable in verification of vendor invoices, obtaining approvals, coding to appropriate general ledger accounts and verification of credit balance refunds
Assist with financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, invoices and other documents
Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts; assist in preparing monthly financial statement
Reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned
Assist other Accounting/Finance department members (LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. staff) as needed including special projects
