About The Position

ASI is the largest global provider of technology B2B services for the $26.1 billion promotional products industry (branding and marketing). With 25,000 clients in 53 countries, our mission is to inspire, inform, and empower our clients’ success every step of the way. ASI currently has a hybrid work model. This position requires in person attendance at our office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. As an Accounting Intern, you will get exposure to ASI’s day-to-day accounting responsibilities, along with exposure to the closing process, preparation of reports for analysis and senior management, and in-depth understanding of workflow. The Accounting Intern will report directly to Accounting Manager and will support a team of four in ASI’s accounting department. This is a paid internship with an hourly pay-rate of $18.00 per hour. Working hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.

Requirements

Junior or Senior level students majoring in accounting or related field.
Experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, Power Point.
Ability to learn quickly to have an impactful intern experience.
Willingness to get involved and ask questions to build on knowledge base.

Nice To Haves

Previous accounting internship or accounting software D365 experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monthly preparation of balance sheet-account reconciliations timely and accurately ensuring they are audit ready.
Preparation of journal entries to support the financial month end close process.
Learning both the monthly and annual accounting cycle.
Entering journal entries into financial software D365.
Learn accounting workflows and how the accounting department works with other departments.
Fixed Asset Reporting with financial software D365.
Investigate, document, and update procedures within the accounting department and interaction with other departments.
Ad hoc reporting.
With the guidance of the accounting team complete the library of policy and procedures.
Additional duties as assigned.
