About The Position

The Accounting Internship at Northwestern Mutual is a year-long program designed for students pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance. Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
• Previous work or classroom experience in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the hiring manager and team to complete critical accounting tasks.
• Assure that all financial activity related to investment portfolios is accurately accounted for in the general ledger.
• Monitor financial results of investments and prepare financial and compliance reports.
• Perform fund administration for various Northwestern Mutual funds and ensure compliance with SEC laws and IRS regulations.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting of financial information to external stakeholders and regulators.
