About The Position

The Summer Internship Program at Walker & Dunlop offers a dynamic environment for students to learn about the commercial real estate finance industry. Each year, we invite a distinguished group of interns to participate in a ten-week training and mentoring program designed to build their skills and familiarize them with our organization. Interns will engage in both supporting and individual contributor roles, providing them with the opportunity to make meaningful contributions through hands-on training. Our Accounting group is responsible for maintaining the official books and records of the company, publishing financial statements and compliance documents, and providing analyses and tools to assist company leaders in making informed business decisions. This group comprises several teams that collaborate to complete all accounting functions, including Loan Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Financial Reporting, Corporate Taxes, Special Initiatives, and Financial Reporting & Analysis. Interns can look forward to introductions to senior leadership, learning about the different parts of the transaction cycle, relationship building, training outside of day-to-day responsibilities through a speaker series, networking events, and the possibility of being considered for full-time positions upon graduation.
