What You Bring: Currently enrolled or recently graduated from any college program (all majors welcome). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Requirements

  • Majoring in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Juniors and Seniors preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Must be able to meet background requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Controllers and the Director of Accounting to support their projects, offering feedback on workflows and the financial entries they oversee.
  • Partner with the operations team on-site, gaining valuable insight into how operations flow across departments while developing a comprehensive understanding of how accounting information systems function within the organization.
  • Attend accounting and budget meetings to take notes, contribute ideas, and provide meaningful input to drive financial accuracy and efficiency.
  • Help manage cash flow, invoices, and payables, maintaining timely and accurate financial records.
  • Assist with auditing and reviewing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Contribute to inventory management and real estate property accounting for company holdings.
  • Support cash balancing for residential communities and the month-end close for retail businesses.
  • Assist with budget forecasting for construction projects and provide financial performance analysis.
  • Collaborate on the creation of budgets and pro-forma financial statements for long-term financial planning.
  • Help refine processes and SOPs to improve efficiency in accounting operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, based on your skills and areas of interest.
