About The Position

The Accounting Intern supports a broad range of functions within the Accounting Department. This role serves as a key liaison between Accounting and other departments, facilitating effective communication and ensuring timely resolution of requests and inquiries. The intern may also assist with the development and documentation of policies, procedures, and process improvements. Stock Farm Club will provide structured, on-the-job training to support skill development and role success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months experience providing accounting/administrative/clerical support.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of spreadsheets and word processing software.
  • Must be able to pass employment background check and motor vehicle record checks.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana; must be insurable under the company’s auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work variable schedule or irregular hours to include last-minute scheduling needs/changes and working split shifts based on needs of the Club operations and scheduled events.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekday, weekend, and evening/late evening hours as required.
  • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions as needed and to walk on uneven ground.
  • Ability to perform same-day travel on Stock Farm Property and within local geographic region.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate level skill in MS Excel (formulas, charting, etc.)
  • 1 years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or accounts payable.
  • Associate degree in accounting, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and email software applications.
  • Ability to enter data into and run reports from databases.
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and to work independently.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in highly fluid and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse audience.
  • Ability to work with a team and interact with others in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Stock Farm Club and member and guest information.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and image of the Stock Farm Club.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Supports daily departmental operations in accordance with assigned schedules and priorities.
  • Assists with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including invoicing, data entry, and document filing.
  • Maintains and updates vendor files and member charge account records with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Communicates professionally with members regarding billing and other financial matters, ensuring clarity, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Adheres to and supports compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.
