About The Position

American Crystal Sugar Company is excited to offer an Accounting Internship! This position is suited for a junior or senior college student in the accounting or related field of study. During the internship, the intern will obtain on-the-job experience, be introduced to cooperative accounting, and exposed to many other aspects of American Crystal Sugar Company operations. The Accounting Intern reports directly to Corporate Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and financial analysis reports.
• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and assist in the month-end close process.
• Record and apply cash and check receipts delivered to the corporate office.
• Invoice business partners and customers for miscellaneous revenues and reimbursements.
• Assist the byproducts sales process personnel by entering transaction data, updating sales documentation, preparing customer statements, and producing financial reports.
• Provide customer support in the byproducts sales process by answering customer phone calls and emails.
• Support the accounts payable department by processing invoices as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
