About The Position

Regal Cineworld has an exciting opportunity for a Summer Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience across accounting functions and financial reporting within a fast-paced corporate environment. In this role, you will support key decision-making by assisting with corporate accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, strategic analysis, and special projects. Finance Department Exposure You’ll gain exposure across several core finance functions, including: COGS Support – Assisting with tracking and analyzing cost-related data General Ledger – Supporting basic accounting entries and reconciliations Fixed Assets & Leases – Helping maintain asset and lease records Consolidations – Learning how financial results are compiled and reported Variance Analysis – Comparing budget vs. actual results to identify trends External Reporting – Assisting in preparation of external financial reports What will you be doing? Data & Process Support Help collect and review financial or operational data to spot areas for improvement. Assist with mapping out how current processes work and help brainstorm better ways to do things. Create simple charts or diagrams to show how processes can be improved. Reporting & Metrics Support the creation of reports and dashboards using tools like Excel or Power BI. Track key metrics that help measure success or identify issues. Training & Documentation Help put together training guides, step-by-step instructions (SOPs), and other materials for new processes. Assist in organizing or supporting team training sessions or workshops. Project Assistance Join project teams as a support member to help with organizing tasks, taking notes, and tracking progress. Learn how different teams work together on larger initiatives. Get hands-on experience with financial systems and tools used across departments. Support testing and data entry tasks during system updates or process changes.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Foundational understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a team-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP); ERP experience is a plus
