About The Position

Rainmaker is pioneering a modern cloud seeding system to mitigate water scarcity and inclement weather. They develop and incorporate radar and satellite validation, weather-resistant UAS, weather modeling, and novel sensors and dispersions into an effective precipitation enhancement solution. The Accounting Intern role supports department managers across core accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, General Accounting, and Accounts Receivable. This position offers hands-on experience through special projects, providing broad exposure to accounting operations and Finance team responsibilities.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree
• Current coursework in Accounting or Finance
• Ability to work independently and achieve high quality output and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-conscious environment with rapidly changing priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Support department managers across core accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, General Accounting, and Accounts Receivable
• Build hands-on experience through special projects that provide broad exposure to accounting operations and Finance team responsibilities
• Assist with month-end close activities, including the preparation of manual and automated journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Support accounts payable processes such as invoice entry, vendor setup and maintenance, data quality analysis, and document management
• Perform customer account reconciliations, apply cash receipts, and assist with customer claims processing
• Compile financial data and prepare recurring reports for internal stakeholders to support informed decision-making
• Assist with fixed asset accounting, including asset tagging, tracking, and reconciliation to the general ledger
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and help drive greater efficiency across workflows
• Provide ad hoc support on special assignments and high-priority tasks for the Accounting Manager
