As an Accounting Intern you will learn about Life Time's end to end accounting close process for the business you support. You will support key accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance, including data entry, maintaining financial records, preparing journal entries, analyzing account activity, and reconciling account variances. You will use your skills as an Accounting Intern to ensure accurate financial reporting to help business partners to make informed decisions. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with any relevant SOX processes related to your role.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team oriented
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program
  • Currently maintaining a GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program

Responsibilities

  • Helps improve administration procedures
  • Observes multiple office positions and trains in a variety of tasks
  • Attends company meetings and functions as needed
  • Assists in other miscellaneous tasks as needed
  • Performs key monthly/quarterly tasks
  • Reconciles accounts, researches and corrects discrepancies
  • Assists with internal monthly reporting and external quarterly reporting
  • Supports ongoing initiatives and ad hoc requests
