About The Position

Accounting Intern Needed – Paid Internship! Location: South Jordan, Utah (In-Office) Duration: 12–15 weeks Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Flexible hours What is OOCL? As one of Hong Kong's most recognized global brands, OOCL provides customers with fully integrated logistics and containerized transportation services, with a network that encompasses Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Australasia. The Financial Control (FINCON) team is responsible for all accounting and tax activities of several North American business entities within multiple industries including ocean carrier agency, trucking, intermodal/rail, and real estate. We maintain and develop accounting principles, practices, and procedures in alignment with headquarters to ensure accurate and timely financial statements to external stakeholders and internal reporting to corporate management, as well as to stay in compliance with regulations.

Requirements

Skills in MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook
Familiar with accounting standards
Ability to multitask

Responsibilities

Lead a one-time project to create financial statement templates and audit report templates for stand-alone audits.
Develop Excel-based financial statement templates for each stand-alone audit:
Based on Trial Balance downloaded from SAP for easy updates.
Format tailored to each entity’s requirements and audit standards.
Gather requirements from audit checklists, examples from other companies, and discussions with FINCON auditors.
Ensure linkage between the financial statement template and the audit report template.
Create Word-based audit report templates:
Include all standard notes and requirements for each audit report.
Information sourced from audit checklists, examples from other companies, and discussions with FINCON auditors.
