About The Position

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking an Accounting Intern to support the Accounting department with documentation management, financial record organization, and customer-related accounting processes. In this role, you will assist with organizing vendor documentation, maintaining digital records of invoices and payments, and supporting processes related to customer refunds and credit balances. The internship provides structured exposure to both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable workflows, offering practical insight into accounting operations within a corporate environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and data integrity when handling financial records
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with organization and maintenance of vendor documentation within shared drive systems
• Support scanning, indexing, and digital filing of invoices and payment records
• Ensure financial documents are labeled and stored according to established naming conventions and retention standards
• Assist with customer refund review processes
• Support communication efforts related to customer credit balances
• Maintain documentation of customer responses to support proper audit trail and compliance
