About The Position

The Accounting Intern is a member of the accounting group of Keenfinity. This position requires working as an effective member of the accounting department, as well as cross-functionally with various departments across the organization (sales, marketing, customer service, credit, and finance). The successful Intern will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy assuming responsibility and accountability to the business. The Accounting Intern will: Contribute ideas and feedback to accounting processes related to ongoing business transformations. Own a Continuous Improvement Project in Treasury, Payroll, Fixed Assets, or similar in coordination with a staff mentor. Assist with treasury functions including banking transactions, liquidity planning, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Review transactions on the general ledger for financial analysis and pull reports from SAP. Prepare journal entries & assist with account reconciliations. Support both internal and external audits Gain exposure to corporate tax topics. Coordinate with Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner for treasury review. Collaborate with international accounting & finance teams within the company. Learning Objectives: The Accounting Intern will partner closely with a staff mentor to build skills in accounting in a professional environment. You will gain experience collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders and meeting professional standards in a corporate accounting environment. At the conclusion of the internship, you will be equipped to give a presentation outlining your contributions to a Continuous Improvement Project.

Requirements

  • Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Finance, or similar.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to multitask and work effectively required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization is not available.
