About The Position

Are you an Accounting student looking for Summer Internship opportunities? P2S is an award-winning engineering firm named "Best Place to Work" for the past 15 years. The internship program aims to offer a positive work/training experience aligned with career goals and education level. Interns will be part of the Accounting team, gaining hands-on experience and applying financial concepts from class to reality. The program emphasizes real-world industry exposure, including participating in month end close activities and internal training opportunities, fostering a unique learning experience and encouraging participation in company events. The Summer Internship lasts 10-12 weeks, starting in June and ending in August - September, depending on the candidate's availability. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Detail-oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Time Management: Efficient organizational and time-management skills.
  • Technology Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Reconcile accounts, ledgers, and journal entries.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Assist AP and AR departments with department related activities to ensure timely payments and collections, respectively.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to leadership.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards essential for career development after college.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
  • Participate in team meetings, assisting accounting personnel organize and analyze financial data.
  • Engage in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.
  • Tailored mentorship based on career aspirations.
