To be a strong candidate for our Accounting Internship, you should possess an understanding of accounting and financial principles, a positive attitude, and willingness to be a part of a fast-paced environment. We are searching for candidates that are collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.

Requirements

• Must be a recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelors or Masters in Accounting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.

Responsibilities

• Shadow members of the Accounting department as they perform their duties.
• Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
• Assist in preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations and other general ledger account reconciliations for monthly close process.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports.
• Work with accounting software.
• Learn how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.
• Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.
