About The Position

Pepper Construction is looking for qualified, intelligent students with a passion for learning about accounting in the construction industry. The Accounting Internship offers overall exposure to all aspects of the financial group with focus on project specific accounting duties with a national general contractor. You will work directly with the Accounting team to review owner contracts, identify contractual terms for billing, coordinate the billing process, and A/P, A/R, and cash processing. You will also be involved in training, jobsite tours and safety.

Requirements

• Current college student entering their Sophomore, Junior or Senior year studying Accounting or similar discipline with relevant coursework
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technology
• Ability to work independently while still contributing and collaborating in a team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
• Reliable transportation to and from work-related activities and assignments

Responsibilities

• Review owner contracts
