About The Position

BRANCH out of the classroom and GROW through hands-on experience. The Accounting Intern 2025 position is located in Lake Jackson, Texas, and is available for the Fall term (August - December 2025). A housing stipend is available for eligible students.

Requirements

• Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting or business-related degree program.
• Must be enrolled in a local college or university and within a reasonable commute of an Olin worksite if working part-time while completing courses.
• Housing stipend is provided for students living 50 or more miles from an Olin location and working full time in lieu of their normal semester.
• Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (Documentation required).
• Must have completed sophomore year prior to assignment with Olin.
• Ability to work part time (20 hours a week) during normal business hours (8:00 am - 4:30 pm EST) if working while going to local classes; relocating students are expected to work 40 hours a week.
• Must have a valid US driver's license.
• Prior Olin internship or co-op experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Posting Journal Entries
• Uploading support for entries in SAP
• Supporting Senior Accountant tasks/projects
• Analyzing Functional activity/postings
• Assist the Sr. Accountant to review inventory adjustment postings and MRO refurbishment orders.
